The area of the Latin Quarter is one of the cheapest place to eat in Paris, between the streets have more restaurants are: the rue de la Huchette, rue de Harpe, rue de cluny and rue Mouffetard.

Le Petit Prince de Paris. Menus between 18 and 32 euros. Romantic restaurant with background music and lighting to medium light. Open Monday to Saturday for dinner only two services: at 19:00 and 22:00. Usually pretty full. Located at 12, rue de Lanneau. Web page

Assiette aux Fromages. Menus between 13 and 25 euros. Open daily from 08:30 to 23.30.Situado at 25, rue Mouffetard. Web page

Polidor. Menus for 22 €, dishes of the day for about 12 €. It is one of the oldest restaurants in the area. Flunch. Establishments with dishes. The cheapest way is to choose a main dish and add the garnish you want as many times as you like. You pay for the dish you choose (between EUR 5 and 8) you go to the ticket counter of the meals, they serve your plate and then you can complete it with such garrison as you like. Near the Pompidou and in the heart of the Marais find the rue des Rosiers. In this street we find cheap places to eat, most find falafel. There are also bakeries and pastry shops with very good products. An example of this is the bakery Marciano Benguigui which is located at 16, Rue des Rosiers.

Some tips for eating in cheap Paris are:

• Asks tap water: In most restaurants the drink is not included and this charge you the part often at high prices. To avoid this it is best to ask for «une carafe d’eau» (pronounced more or less in cagaf do) what we know as a jug with tap water. It is completely safe to drink and is good, it’s free, you do not charge. You not ashamed because Parisians are the first who ask.
  

• There is normally cheaper to order the set menu (menu du jour) or the daily special (plat du jour), these are often advertised on boards that are placed on the street.

• As in all places Paris also offers fast food chains where you can eat at lower prices.

• Use bakeries (boulangerie) for breakfast, plus pastries with delicious croissants many offer coffee. You can also use the bakeries for lunch or snack and sample some of their quiches.

• Avoid the main streets where prices tend to be higher, loiter a little and looking less traveled places where local find more affordable.

• If your budget is extremely tight you can always buy something in a supermarket and have a picnic at one of the many parks that the city has.
